シンガポール唯一のかき氷レストラン？ / The only restaurant in Singapore that serves 'Kakigori'

「かき氷」は日本で夏季に人気な和風のデザートです。「かき氷」の形とシンガポールの「アイス　カチャン」の形は大体同じです。しかし、材料と作り方は全然違います。普通の「かき氷」の材料は氷とシロップだけです。しかし、シンガポールの「アイス　カチャン」は様々な材料もあります。小豆とか、いろいろなゼリーとか、様々な材料も見たことがあります。じゃ、次は食べ物の写真です。

'Kakigori' would be a famous Japanese dessert that the Japanese have been eating during Summer. The shape of the 'Kakigori' was pretty similar to the shape of the 'Ice Kacang' that we can easily find in Singapore. However, the ingredients used in both desserts were completely different. A normal 'Kakigori' only contains shaved ice and syrup only. As for a &aposIce Kacang', ingredients like red beans, jelly, etc were included in a normal bowl of 'Ice Kacang'. Well Let us look at some images of food.

シンガポールの天気はいつも暑いので、 僕は一週間二回以上、涼しいデザートを超食べたいです。 Due to the hot weather that I have been experiencing in Singapore, probably more than twice a week, I would have the urge to eat some cold desserts in order to make me happy. :)

そのレストランで他の和風料理もありますよ。
Besides for 'Kakigori', the restaurant also offers a spread of Japanese delicacies like

大根とか、 White Radish,	餃子とか、 Pan fried dumplings,
唐揚げとか、 Deep Fried Chicken,	冷やし面とか、 Japanese cold noodles,
様々な和風料理もありますよ。 （しかし、僕は一番美味い食べ物は「カキ氷」です。） Basically, you can find all sorts of Japanese delicacies at this restaurant. (However, I think that among all the food that they are offering, 'Kakigori' tastes the best.)

そのレストランの名前は「Tamaya Dining」です。
As for the name of the restaurant, it will be 'Tamaya Dining'.

• もしそのレストランで「かき氷」を食べたかったら、お酒や食事食べなければなりません。このルールはちょっと酷いです。しかし、美味い「かき氷」のために、頑張ってください。

Note(The following was a rule of the restaurant):

• If you would want to try the 'Kakigori' of the restaurant, you will at least need to place an order for Sake or food. Although the rule was a bit disturbing, but for the sake of the 'Kakigori', I think that it was pretty worth it.

万城目学の関西三部作 / 3 Novels written by Manabu Makime that revolves around Kansai, Japan

万城目学の関西三部作は全部もう見ていました。面白いですよ。以下は万城目学の関西三部作の紹介です。
I have 'seen' 3 infamous works written by Manabu Makime that revolves around the Kansai region of Japan. I find them pretty interesting. Hence I decided to introduce the books on my blog.

小説のタイトルは「鴨川ホルモー」です。
「鴨川ホルモー」のあらすじ
ホルモー？　ホルモンではなく、ホルモー？
かつての王城の地、ここ京都で脈々と受け継がれてきた
「ホルモー」とはなんぞや！？
主人公安倍は大学に入学して間もなく、
京都青竜会と名乗る謎のサークルから勧誘を受ける。
その新歓コンパで、安倍は同じ新入生の女子に一目ぼれしてしまう。
一方で徐々に明らかになる サークルの隠された目的とは……。
壮大なる歴史的スケールで冴えない大学生の悲喜こもごもの日常を描く、

The title of the Novel would be 'Kamogawa Horumo'.
Synopsis
A group of freshman have enrolled into a Kyoto University club,
which requires them to participate in a game known as 'Horumo'.
Throughout the 'Horumo' game, players will have to learn to
control a group of 'Oni', also known as Japanese Demons, and
fight their way out to become the winner of each game played.

僕の感想
実は「鴨川ホルモー」の小説を見たことがありません。
しかし、「鴨川ホルモー」の映画を見たことがありますよ。
あの映画に様々な「ホルモー」の命令動作が超可笑しいです。
それ以外、「ホルモー」の様子は超可愛いです。
映画を見た後、その面白いサークルを参加したいです。

My comments
Actually, I have not read the Novel before,
but I have seen the movie that was based on the Novel.
I was laughing at the strange actions that the actors
were making in order to control the 'Oni'.
And besides laughing at the actions, the look of the
'Oni' reminds me of a Pig like devil which kind of
turn out to be pretty cute...
In fact, after watching the movie, I also feel like
participating in the 'Horumo' game too.

小説のタイトルは「鹿男あをによし」です。
「鹿男あをによし」のあらすじ
「さあ、神無月だ――出番だよ、先生」。
二学期限定で奈良の女子高に赴任した「おれ」。
ちょっぴり神経質な彼に下された、空前絶後の救国指令!?

The title of the Novel would be 'The Fantastic Deer Man'.
Synopsis
During the month of October, a deer suddenly move closer
to a high school teacher telling him that now is his
chance to save Japan from a big disaster that might be
going to happen soon. So what's going to happen next...

僕の感想
実は「鹿男あをによし」の小説を見たことがあります。
しかし、あれは中国語翻訳バージョンです。
もし鹿が突然に中国語が話せたら、絶対にびっくりします。
もし頭の映像は鹿になったら、絶対にびっくりします。
それ後。。。ばけものになりました。。。
死にたいです。。。切腹したいです。。。

My comments
Actually, I have read the Novel before, but I was
reading the version that was translated into Chinese.
In fact if a deer suddenly start chatting with me,
most probably I would ended up in a state of shock.
And if the reflection of my head started to show
the head of a deer, I would most probably be
killing myself my performing a 'Seppuku'.
('Seppuku' would be the action of taking a short blade
into the abdomen and moving the blade from left to right
in a slicing motion.

５月末日の木曜日、大阪が完全に止まる。
あらゆる種類の営業活動、商業活動、地下鉄、バス等の公共機関も一切停止。
しかしそのことは大阪人以外は全く知らない。その発端となったのが、
会計検査院からやってきた個性豊かな調査官３人と、
空堀商店街にあるお好み焼屋の中学生の息子に、その幼馴染の女子。
彼らが、大阪人に連綿と引き継がれてきた、秘密の扉を開けてしまうのだった……。

The title of the Novel would be 'Princess Toyotomi'.
Synopsis
During the last day of the month of May, transportations,
businesses, all forms of activities have been ceased.
No one knew about the reason behind this strange behaviour
except for the citizens living in Osaka. Hence a group of
people from Tokyo and Osaka are going to learn about a
very big secret of Osaka.

僕の感想
実は「プリンセス・トヨトミ」の小説を見たことがありません。
しかし、「プリンセス・トヨトミ」の映画を見たことがありますよ。
赤い大阪城は第一回見ていました。
それと怒る鬼のイメージが大体同じです。怖いです。。。
なに、次の大阪国総理大臣はその女性になりたい少年？？？
全然信じられません。。。

My comments
Actually, I have not read the Novel before,
but I have seen the movie that was based on the Novel.
That was my first time coming across a red-colored Osaka Castle.
It looks like an angry 'Oni', which turns out to be pretty scary.
And you are actually telling me that the next Prime Minister
of the country of Osaka would be the boy that has an interest
in becoming a girl??? That is simply too unbelievable.

日本料理が食べたいです。しかし。。。/ I want to eat Japanese food, but...

ラーメンとか、寿司とか、刺身とかシンガポールにいろいろな日本料理があります。あああああ～～～困ったな。全部食べたいです。だから。。。
when it comes to Japanese food, there are simply too many options for you to choose. You can easily find good Japanese Restaurant serving delicious delicacies like Ramen, Sushi, Sashimi, etc. It is so damn difficult to decide, therefore...

「Kushi Dining Bar」という日本料理レストランで晩御飯を食べていました。
実はね。。。そのレストランのバイキングメニューに様々な料理があります。
例えば。。。
I decided to have my dinner at 'Kushi Dining Bar'.
As for the buffet dinner, you get to choose from
more than 120 items which includes...

前菜とか（以上は新鮮な牡蠣）、
Appetizer (the above shows Fresh Oysters),

刺身とか、
Sashimi,

串焼きとか、
Kushi Yaki, food that are skewered on a bamboo skewer and grilled,

煮物とか（以上は辛い焼ムール貝）、しゃぶしゃぶとか、様々な日本料理もありますよ。
Cooked food (the above shows Spicy Grilled Mussels), Shabu shabu, etc.

毎日も季節的特別な一品があります。

皆さん「生本まぐろ解体ショー」を見たことがありませんか？今日は伊勢丹で「生本まぐろ解体ショー」を見たことがあります。面白いです。
Have you seen a Demonstration for Cutting Up a Bluefin Tuna from Japan before? I finally get to see it today and it is pretty interesting.

これは50キロ以上の生まぐろです。
The above would be a Tuna Fish that weight more than 50Kg.

以上はそのまぐろ解体ショーのいろいろです。 The above are photos and videos taken throughout the show.

注意：

• 明日（1月2日）と今週の水曜日（1月4日）午後二時、シンガポール・伊勢丹オーチャードの地下一階のデパートで、大体同じまぐろ解体ショーもあります。皆さん、もし都合がいい、そのショーをご覧になりますよ。

• A similar demonstration have been scheduled on tomorrow(2nd Jan 2012) and the upcoming Wednesday(4th Jan 2012) at 2pm. The demonstration will be held at the supermarket located at Basement 2 of Isetan Orchard. If you happen to be pretty free either tomorrow or the upcoming Wednesday, you probably might want to spend some time taking a look at how the 'Master' cut a big Tuna fish into pieces.
