古都京都の世界文化遺産・二条城 / Nijo Castle - Kyoto World Cultural Heritage

「二条城」は京都の文化遺産に特別な存在です。京都で17の文化遺産があります。それに16の文化遺産はお寺とご神社です。「二条城」は唯一の例外です。だから、今週は「二条城」を紹介します。
'Nijo Castle' was an exception within the World Cultural Heritage located in Kyoto. Although Kyoto had 17 World Cultural Heritage sites, 16 of them were either temples or shrine. Only 1 of them was a slightly indifferent structure and that would be 'Nijo Castle'. Therefore I will be writing about 'Nijo Castle' today.

これは「二条城」の灯篭です。
素敵な絵があって、盗みたいです。
This would be one of the lanterns of 'Nijo Castle'.
It have a beautiful picture imprint on it that I wanted to steal one... :P

「二条城」の番所です。 昔は、番所は警備の詰所です。警備はここで留まって、お城の安全を守っていました。 The above would be the guardhouse of 'Nijo Castle'.

「二条城」の唐門です。
唐門を入って、二の丸御殿が見られます。

By going through the gates, the building of 'Ni no Maru Go Den' will come into view.

二の丸御殿です。 ここに様々な桃山時代の芸術品があります。 しかし、二の丸御殿内撮影禁止です。残念しました。 This would be the structure of 'Ni no Maru Go Den'. A lot of art pieces from the Momoyama period still remains in this building. However, photo taking were prohibited in this place, which is a big disappointment.

以上は「二条城」内の写真です。 実は、僕はたくさん和風な城へ行ったことがあります。 しかし、「二条城」と普通の和風な城が全然違います。 現在の「二条城」は天守閣がないし、丘がないし、 三階以上の建物がありませんでした。 だから、インタネットで少々調べていました。 「二条城」のサイトによると、昔はそこに天守閣があります。 しかし、二百年前に焼失しました。見たいです。。。 THe above would be photos taken within 'Nijo Castle'. In fact, I have visited numerous Japanese Castle before and 'Nijo Castle' was very different. It neither have a castle tower nor a small hill nor buildings that were more than 3 stories high. Therefore, I was spending a bit of time trying to search for more information about the castle on the Internet. According to the website of 'Nijo Castle', there used to be a castle tower within the 'Nijo Castle' compound, but it was destroyed by fire more than 200 years ago.

もし皆さん「二条城」で、「二条城ライトアップ」のイベントを参加したかったら、たぶん四月初にいたほうがいいです。
実は、この世界で地球温暖化の問題があるので、誰も桜咲きの時季が見当できませんでした。
だから、日本気象庁のサイトに、この方面の資料に少々調べにいきます。
If you want to visit the event of 'Nijo Castle Light Up', which was held at 'Nijo Castle', I would strongly encourage you to visit the castle during early April.
As the world is strongly affected by the problem of Global Warming, no one could predict the season that the Sakura flowers would blossom anymore.
Therefore, I would strongly encourage you to visit the Japan Meteorological Agency website to find out more information on the dates that the Sakura flowers will be in full bloom.
