僕の日本・京都製の和傘/My Japanese Traditional Umbrella that was made in Kyoto, Japan

今年の日本旅行中、和傘を買っていました。どうしてですか？実はいろいろな原因があります。僕は小さい時、婆ちゃんの家に住んでいました。婆ちゃんの家に緑な中国風な傘があります。たぶん、大部分のシンガポール人も見たことがあります。その傘の形は現在も覚えられます。懐かしいです。その上、エコフレンドリーの傘を買いたいので、だから和傘が買っていました。
I have bought a Traditional Japanese Umbrella during my trip to Japan this year. Why did I bout a Traditional Japanese Umbrella? There tons and tons of reason behind it. Probably it's because of the fact that I was staying with in my grandmother's house when I was a child. There was this green colored Chinese Traditional Umbrella at her place and I was fascinated with it. Even up till today, I still can recall the look of the umbrella. It kinda brings back some good old memories of days back then. On top of that, I wanted to buy a Eco-friendly umbrella, hence I decided to buy a Traditional Japanese Umbrella.

古都京都の世界文化遺産・下鴨神社 / Shimogamo Jinja - Kyoto World Cultural Heritage

先週、僕はこのブログに葵祭関係があるの「上賀茂神社」を紹介しています。だから、今週「下鴨神社」を紹介してきます。
I had introduce to you 'Kamigamo Jinja' last week, hence I will be introducing 'Shimogamo Jinja' this week, which is related to 'Aoi Festival' also.

	「下鴨神社」に、十二支守護社以外、十二支の絵馬もあります。 In the compound of 'Shimogamo Jinja', you can find shrines for the 12 Mythology Chinese Zodiac. People tend to visit these shrines to pray for protection based on the year of the Chinese Zodiac that they were born in. You can also find wooden blocks with the 12 Mythology Chinese Zodiac imprint on it. You are suppose to write your wishes on the back of these blocks and hang it on a hanger located nearby.

	大炊殿 ここに古い料理用具が参観できます。きれい庭もあります。 「唐車」という昔の貴族の交通工具も見られます。 'Ooidono' You can take a look at the utensils that they have been using in the older days. Besides for the utensils, this place have a beautiful garden also. On top of these, you can also take a closer look at the transportation that the nobles have been using in the older days.

もし皆さん「下鴨神社」で参りたかったら、
葵祭りのために、五月の京都へ行った方がいいですよ。
（実は僕は「葵祭り」を参加したことがありませんでした。
しかし、インタネットの写真によると、その祭りが面白そうです。）
If you want to visit 'Shimogamo Jinja', for the sake of the 'Aoi Festival',
I would recommend you to do it in the month of May.
(Actually I have not participate in the 'Aoi Festival' before but according
to the images that was gathered from the Internet on the pictures of
'Aoi Festival', it seems to be a pretty interesting festival to participate in.)

附：へへ、これは「下鴨神社」の名物「みたらし団子」です。
Note: Whahahaha, the following are photos of the speciality 'Mitarashi Dango' located near 'Shimogamo Jinga'.

「みたらし団子」は、砂糖醤油の葛餡をかけた焼き団子です。美味いよ。 'Mitarashi Dango' is a kind of grilled 'Dango' with a sweet 'Shoyu' sauce pour on top of it. Oishiyo.

	これは「みたらし団子」の販売店「加茂みたらし茶屋」です。 This is the store that have been selling 'Mitarashi Dango', 'Kamomitarashi Chaya'.

シンガポールで新しいラーメン店「けいすけ豚骨王」/ New Ramen store in Singapore 'Keisuke Tonkotsu King'

先週末時間があると今月ラーメンを食べなかったので、新しいラーメン店で晩御飯を食べに行きました。 いい(≧∇≦)b
As I was free last weekend and I have not eaten a bowl of Ramen for the month of September, I decided to have Ramen for my dinner.

チャンチャンチャン。。。これは「けいすけ豚骨王ラーメン」店の外見です。特別でなかったです。
Tada~~~~ This is the Ramen shop 'Keisuke Tonkotsu King' Ramen store.
By looking from the outside, there isn't anything special about the store.

英語と日本語のメニューもありました。 しかし、ここで豚骨ラーメンと飲み物以外の料理はありませんでした。ごめんなさいでした。 They have provided both a English Menu and a Japanese Menu. However, the shop doesn't sell anything else besides for the 'Tonkotsu' ramen and a few kinds of beverages. This can be quite a hassle.

ラーメンのタイプとスープの味と麺類と鶏油も自由に選ばせます。
ラーメンのタイプー普通、黒い（醤油？）、赤い（辛い）
スープの味ー薄い、普通、濃い
麺類ーソフト、普通、硬い
鶏油ー少し、普通、多い
面白すぎます。80種以上のラーメンが組み合わせます。
The shop has given you the option to mix and match a bowl of
Ramen to fit your requirements.
For example:
Type of Ramen - Normal, Black(Maybe its Shoyu), Red(Spicy)
Taste of the Soup - Thin, Normal, Thick
Noodle texture - Soft, Normal, Hard
Amount of Chicken Oil to be added - A little, Normal, A lot
This is pretty interesting, you can actually mix and match
up to 80 different bowls of Ramen.

ゆでたまごともやしとかつおぶしが無料です。すごいです。 京都駅で徳島ラーメン東大と同じです。しかし、徳島ラーメン東大でたまごだけが無料です。 Boiled eggs, Beansprout and Bonito Flakes are given for free. This reminds me of 'Tokushima Ramen Todai' of Kyoto Station. But, 'Tokushima Ramen Todai' only provide uncooked eggs for free.

ラーメンを待つとき、ごまをゆっくり挽きます。。。Σｒ(‘Д‘ｎ）「とんかつ」みたいです。。。
While waiting for your bowl of Ramen, you will be given a bowl of Sesame
and you are suppose to grind it... What this is so similar to a 'Tonkatsu'...

これはレットスパイシーとんこつラーメン全部入りスペシャルです。いただきます。
This would be the Red Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Special with all the toppings.

この味付けたまごの水準と「丸たまラーメン」の水準と大体同じです。超美味いですよ。
The Ajitsuke Tamago of this shop were as good as the Ajitsuke Tamago
that I had eaten at 'Marutama Ramen'. It's super delicious.

かえだまとゆでたまごともやし、全部入りました。
After adding a round of noodles, a boiled egg and some Beansprouts.

そこのレットスパイシーとんこつラーメン全部入りスペシャルが鹹くないし、
辛くなかったです。美味いですよ。しかし、この店のラーメンの量は女性向けです。
僕はかえだま二回後も足りませんでした。たぶん、四回も大丈夫です。
The Red Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Special that they had prepared was neither
very salty nor spicy. However the potion of the Ramen that they had
prepared was targeted more towards ladies. As for myself, I was not even
half full after adding Noodles twice and I think I have enough space in my
stomach for another 2 rounds of Noodles. :D

店に古い映画のポスタが壁に貼っていました。
あたかも十九世紀の日本で映画館にいるかのように感じます。:P
They have hang posters of old Japanese movies on the wall. Which makes
it feel as if you were eating Ramen in a nineteen century Japanese Cinema. :P

ラッキーです。僕がその店に早くて行きました。ラッキーです。
そんなの長いキューが絶対に我慢できませんでした。
Luckily, I went to the shop early. I definitely cannot
stand queueing up outside a restaurant for a long time.
