古都京都・宇治市の世界文化遺産・平等院 / Byodo In - Kyoto World Cultural Heritage located in City of Uji

質問：「宇治市に、有名なものは何ですか？」たぶん、１００％の人も「宇治茶」と答えます。しかし、宇治市内、「宇治茶」以外、二つの世界文化遺産がありますよ。だから、今週と来週も宇治市の世界文化遺産を紹介ことにします。実は、2010年の日本旅中、宇治市の「平等院」で、５０メーター以内の距離に、日本の天皇皇后両陛下を見ていました。素晴らしい体験ですよ。
Question: "What are the famous stuff that can be found in the City of Uji in Kyoto?". Probably 100 percent of the replies were 'Uji Tea'. However, do you know that in the city of Uji, there were actually 2 World Cultural Heritage sites? Therefore, I have decided to introduce the 2 World Cultural Heritage sites of the city of 'Uji' for the current and following week. In fact, during my visit to 'Byodo In' in the year 2010, I was pretty lucky to see the emperor and empress of Japan within a distance of 50 metres. And that was definite a fantastic experience. :D

藤棚 'Fuji Dana' 毎年の四月から六月まで、ここで素敵なビューが見られます。 Annually starting from the month of April to June, one can witness a magnificent sight of the flowers of Spring planted at this location.

シンガポール唯一の「精進料理」レストラン/Only restaurant in Singapore that serve Japanese Vegetarian Food

シンガポールに様々な日本料理レストランがありました。例えば：居酒屋とか、ラーメン屋とか、しゃぶしゃぶレストランとか。。。様々のレストランがあります。しかし、シンガポールに「精進料理」のレストランは一軒だけです。ねきょうと：（　・ ｇ・）うそーん。。。嘘ではありませんよ。本間に一軒だけです。でも、「精進料理」とは何ですか？「精進料理」の材料は野菜だけです。野菜を使って、いろいろな料理を作っています。例えば：鰻丼みたいの精進料理とか、いろいろな豆腐料理とか、てんぷらみたいの精進料理とか、様々な「精進料理」があります。
There are all sorts of Japanese food restaurant in Singapore. For example: Izakaya, Ramen shops, Shabu Shabu restaurants... etc. However, there is only one restaurant in Singapore that serves 'Shojin Ryori'. But what is 'Shojin Ryori'? The ingredients for making 'Shojin Ryori' are vegetables only. The chef will only be using vegetables to create all sorts of food items. For example: vegetables meals that look and taste like Unagi Don or Tempura, various types of Tofu set meals... etc. Basically, there are all kinds of 'Shojin Ryori' available in Japan.

古都奈良の文化遺産・東大寺 / Todaiji - Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara

去年の日本旅行に、僕は初めて奈良と京都に行ってきました。実は、去年は僕の第一回の日本旅行です。楽しいです。奈良の東大寺行くとき、びっくりちゃった。東大寺*の佛像は今まで僕が見たことが最大の仏像です。 During my trip to Japan last year, I went to Nara and Kyoto for the first time. In fact, last year was my first trip to Japan also. It was an interesting trip. When I went to Todaiji in Nara, I was both surprised and shock. As the Buddha statue in Todaiji was the biggest one that I had seen up till today.

インターネットによると、東大寺の銅仏像は日本に一番大きい銅仏像です。^
According to an article on the Internet, the Buddha statue in Todaiji is the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Japan.

附：大寺入り前にと出た後、奈良公園経由して、鹿を注意してください。
実は、日本人も信じられる鹿は神の使者です。
だから、奈良公園にたくさん鹿が自由に住んでいました。
Note: Before entering and after you get out of Todaiji, you will pass by Nara Park.
Actually, the Japanese believed that the deer were messengers of the gods, therefore that is one of the reasons why there are so many deer living in the Nara park.


注意：奈良公園の鹿は人を攻撃するかもしれない。
Take note: The deer in Nara Park might approach and attack you.

日本と宗教 / Religion in Japan

この世界にたいていの人は一つの宗教があります。
しかし、たいていの日本人は二つの宗教があります。

Most of the people in this world had only believed in 1 religion.
But, for most of the Japanese in this world, they had believed in 2 different religions.

ねきょうとさん：	ﾊｧﾊｧ(*´д｀*)━( *´д )━( 　*´)━(　　)━(ﾟ 　 )━(Дﾟ　 )━( ﾟДﾟ ）ﾊｧ?
	うそでしょう。僕はシンガポール人です。僕の宗教は「道教」です。 全然信じられません。この世界の人は二つの宗教があります。

	You must be joking. I am a Singaporean and my religion is 'Taoism'. I cannot believe that there are people in this world that belong and believe in 2 different religions.

実は、僕がその真実を初めて聞くとき、僕も信じられません。
でも、真実は真実です。たいていの日本人は二つの宗教があります。

In fact, when I heard about it for the first time, I couldn't believe my ears too.
But, a fact is a fact. For most of the Japanese, they believed in 2 different religion.


（一）神道
日本人にとって、「神道」という宗教は現世と関係があります。
だから、日本人の結婚式とか、成人式とか、
様々な大切の儀式も、神道の神社で行われています。

これは「神道」の資料です。

1. Shinto
According to the Japanese, 'Shinto' is related to everyday life.
That is the reason why, major ceremonies like wedding ceremony and
coming-of-age ceremony were held at a 'Shinto' Shrine.

（二）仏教
日本人にとって、「仏教」という宗教は後生と関係があります。
だから、日本の葬儀の大部分は仏式（葬式仏教）で行われています。

2. Buddhism
According to the Japanese, 'Buddhism' is related to the afterlife.
That is the reason why, most of the funerals were held at a 'Buddhism' Temple.
